These are cornerstone foundations that make me up! They are not in any particular order but they do connect in some form to each other! Communication and Design
Let me just say, these two cornerstones are kind of the same, but they are completely different in my opinion! Design-wise, I am always learning new techniques. It could be through constant creative motion and craftsmanship. What's old, current and new? I aim to blend traditional and digital aesthetics to finalize an artwork. I try to stay current with new trends because the world and its way of communicating is always changing! Design, to me, is the underlying structure which the viewer barely sees because it is underneath the visible portion of the work! I make sure the design and craftsmanship underneath is able to withstand time! I use it as a technique of using my hands to the fullest creative potential to try to find perfection in an artwork. It helps communicate structure, composition, balance, harmony and understanding through timeless values and relatability. There is design in almost everything. Much like my faith, there is a reason for an artwork because there is a designer behind the structure who took the time and craftsmanship to create something. I am always practicing and focusing to make sure the design is communicating what I have intent to a wide range of audience! I always intended for my artwork to communicate to a wide audience full of timeless values and morals!
Vivid Storytelling Style
It is completely obvious I have many tastes and influences! Most notably, I was influenced by Disney while growing up! The reason I love Walt Disney is because he took the time to capture the beauty and form of characters like Snow White’s graceful movements and create realistic lighting environments like old German folklore by making the film look like moving art! Also cartoon shorts like Mickey Mouse are still funny and worth watching to this day! I try to capture that same sort of energy in my work! Boldness, exaggeration, realism, relatable, eye-catching and cartoonish! I am also definitely influenced by Jim Henson and the crazy muppets, old cartoons like Looney Tunes, old masters of art like Leonardo, Monet, Raphael and Salvador Dali! I stay up on the news and have a love of general history of the US Revolution, world and pirates! I love to travel and explore new environments to see the beautiful colors of nature and animals like examples of Florida beaches and forests! I am always watching and reading the new theater shows, books, movies and music that tell the interesting characters, morals and stories! My tastes are wide and deep because I can see beauty in a lot of things as I take and balance everything I am influenced by in my art!
My artistic style is more open and lighthearted to say the least! I tend to focus on lighter exaggerated things to communicate an overall message in my work! I use the likeness of classic Walt Disney art and focus on my artist message which is timeless values of my faith! Doing good, being humble, and trustworthiness to name a few! I would love to grab your attention and make you think about the deeper topics, meanings, characters and stories in my work! I find it is true that an artwork will never be finished. I definitely like to focus on the details to clearly paint a picture!
“A body in motion stays in motion and a body at rest can rest in peace.”
I can clearly imagine a scene! “Mid August day, down in the field by the old church, as the sun heats up at three, the wind is blowing the fresh dandelions back and forth! A young Mia, not more than seven in her yellow skirt, bends over to pick up the tiniest of the flowers in front of her! She holds it close by her nose! Amazed by it! She closes her eyes and waits a brief moment! We don't know her internally but she makes a wish! She blows a quick huff! The dandelion explodes and flies off in the open air! Her wish was granted!” Just a message of hope and beauty in the little things!

Faith
My faith cornerstone is a part of my artwork but just not from an obvious standpoint. I don’t usually go around talking about my faith because it is a much deeper conversation! I deeply believe God is the master creator of everything! He designed everything! One verse I love is
“How many are your works, Lord! In wisdom you made them all; the earth is full of your creatures!”
– Psalm 104:24
Simply because I don’t want to be called and labeled just a Christian artist, and I would rather just be called an artist! I tend to be animate in my life! It is my drive for creativity and imagination. I am always on the move like a wave going onto a shore. So my hands and my mind affect my artwork! I hold the belief an artwork is simply a breathing body willing to come to life in front of the viewer. I look for a reason to add to an artwork. “Plus it” if you would understand like Disney would say! I just created a brilliant illustrated print with a beautiful story of two friends climbing a mountain looking for mysterious pirate treasure but find that the treasure isn’t worth anything except the value of friendship they found in each other through the adventure. Now, let's create something to go along with it. Take that illustration and place it on a designer tshirt. Faith is truly by the acts we see and not see in art!
